For people in the Eastern Ukraine a lot has changed since the outbreak of the war in 2014. Lena a former lawyer and Oleksii a trained psychologist are working now for the Danish Demining Group – to free the eastern part of Ukraine from unexploded ordnance, booby traps and mines. Ukraine is by now one of the countries with the most mine accidents worldwide.
About 16,000 square kilometers in the east have been contaminated by war material, and for children like Sasha or adults like Anatolii, their whole life had changed from the scratch in just a fraction of a second.
