At CRISIS, we accompany the “White Angels”, a special unit of the Ukrainian police, who get the last remaining people out of the frontline areas. They are often older people who stay in their homes as long as they can. For the evacuation teams, this means that they themselves regularly come under fire. They save lives and risk dying themselves in the process.
